Training people how to use industrial equipment can be challenging. Sometimes, photos are not available or not high enough quality, and drawings are required to really explain details. These drawings were created with Adobe Illustrator, and are based on photos and technical documentation.

Training material often deals with safety procedures. And when it comes to safety, it is imperative that supporting graphics are clear and easy to understand. This diagram was created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and combines drawings and photos.

Occasionally we get asked to create an illustration for a publication or a technical paper describing new technologies or products. This illustration was completed for a publication promoting oceanographic equipment being manufactured in British Columbia.

Support Illustrations

Illustrations can be highly descriptive, but they can also just be used to create a certain feeling or mood. This ice diagram was created entirely in Adobe Illustrator, and was used in training material that was discussing temperatures. Other examples of suppport graphics are shown here.

Graphics can often be simplified down to black & white drawings to create CAD vector lines, which can cut steel and wood using laser and plasma cutters. We use Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD to develop vector drawings that are designed to cut custom shapes. This example was cut from 12 Gauge mild steel plate.

In training material, the graphics are just as important as the text, maybe even more so in some cases. We are experts at converting technical training material into easy-to-understand diagrams. This example was created in Adobe Illustrator, and is  based on client-supplied engineering drawings.

Black & White Vector Cut Lines

Illustrations can also be combinations of drawings and renderings. These images represent various client projects. They were rendered from 3D Stuio Max, and then enhanced with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Images like this are often needed in Marketing material.
